When we road test a vehicle we also inspect the vehicle very closely. The Ford factory trained technician will start the engine and ensure that it idles properly both while cold and hot. Then if equipped the Remote start system opertation will be tested. Then the techinican from the Gresham Ford Service Center accelerates and checks to ensure that the certified pre-owned vehicle cruises smoothly without concern. Engine noise is covered under cold and hot condition both at high and low speeds. Again remember that if a vehicle fails to pass this 169 point inspection - Gresham Ford and Ford Motor Company will not certified the vehicle. Following the noise check the Automatic/manual transmission/transaxle operatation is verified to ensure that the vehicle shifts normally under again both cold and hot conditions. The noise created by the Automatic/manual transmission/transaxle is also specifically checked in both cold and hot conditions. As you can begin to see the Gresham Ford Service Center spends quality time with every certified pre-owned vehicle to ensure its quality and longevity to our customers. Shift interlock operatation is also tested. Gresham Ford repairs transmissions and engines for Ford vehicles like the Super Duty trucks or even a Ford Focus. The drive axle and transfer case operation is checked for noise normal. The Gresham Ford technician, Ian Schaffer, checks to make sure the Clutch operates (smoothly and with proper adjustment). This verification is also noted on the inspection sheet which is available for every Certified Ford vehicle. Gresham Ford is just minutes from Portland and Beaverton and is worth the drive if you are searching for a certified pre-owned vehicle.
